People who don't know their facts

A few days since I last blogged. This won't be as weird as the previous things I've posted here. Lots to do in school these days and I'm working on a short story (which recently hit EE length, so, well, it's developing into something not all that short) which is where my stream of consciouness ends up now, instead of on this blog.

Anyhow, since I don't have much sensible to post, I'm going to share an extremely weird website I found the other day with you. (http://www.moodymanual.demonbuster.com/schizop3.html)
This page is about schizophrenia and it's created by some fundamentalist people who don't seem to know their own religion all that well, nor schizophrenia, I might add. Here are some of my favorites:

"Schizophrenia can be demonically inherited. Notice I said demonically. By that I mean it is not in the blood system, not in the genes - it is in the demons! This is what we call familiar spirits. They are familiar with your family."
There's really not a lot ot say about this, these people are absurd.

"When a schizo explodes, he opens the door to bitterness. Demons will convince him that it is all the other person's fault. Have you ever seen someone that can not accept blame for anything that is their fault?"
1) Explodes? As in spontaneous self-combustion? AWESOME!
2) Not accepting the blame for something you've done? The way they put it, I think rather than being a symptom of schizophrena I'd call that a symptom of being human.

"The disturbance and disintegration of personality known as schizophrenia or dementia praecox is frequently encountered by the deliverance minister."
"dementia praecox", now I think this is their way of trying to sound reliable because they use nice words, but really, schizophrenia hasn't been known as dementia praecox since the late 19th century. Then again, their agenda seems to be even older, so whatever.

"Through the revelation the Lord showed how the thumbs represent the Paranoid phase of schizophrenia. [...]
The revelation portrayed in the fingers and thumbs has proved to be infallible, as judged by numerous ministries with schizophrenics. There is no flaw in it."

Sure you weren't a bit delusional yourself when you saw this? Geez. I believe in God, in prayer and all of that and this doesn't sound anything like... well, like anything connected to Christianity the way I know it.

"2. Gen. 3:1 A master strategy initiated in the Garden of Eden. Eve was the first schizophrenic. The Devil tempted her to doubt God's Word, His Love and His Goodness."
I interpret the snake as a metaphor, not as Eve hearing voices, thank you very much.

Some people just don't get it right.

Thoughts progressing from unserious to serious

Mulder & Bailey's, oh yeah ;P

Honestly, I feel like such a nerd, but X-files is a good show! And Meng and I are nerdy together, so that's good <3

Now, ToK. Do. Not. Want. It's not that I don't like ToK, I just don't like the assignments we get. The criteria are supposed to be followed so rigidly, but all I wonder is... what do they mean? How are you supposed to follow fuzzy criteria perfectly? I mean, okay, we should question what we really know in ToK, but honestly, the criteria as well?

There was mist outside today, mysterious mist. There's always something in the mist that can't be seen, a concept that can't be understood. Reaching out, disoriented fingers and hands that grasp but reach nothing. It cannot be seen and it cannot be grasped, not with hands, nor with minds. Clouded concepts, the whatever-is-in-the-dark again, only in the mist this time. Shreds of mystery, wrapped in beauty. But what do I know, these were just thoughts spoken out loud when doing the dishes.

The mind sure likes to wander, but that's okay as long as it doesn't get lost. It's a luxury really, having free thoughts that can travel around, being free enough to go places mentally, but even more so physically. It's a luxury we have here, that isn't shared in many other parts of the world, and it's sad, but there are things that are more sad. If all the food in the world was evenly distributed, we'd have less food here, but people wouldn't starve. What with all of the obesity issues in the West, that wouldn't be so bad for us, really. Still, we have a lot but it doesn't make us feel any better. Psychoactive drugs are more common here than medicines for HIV patients in developing countries, now that doesn't seem right to me. I could go on and on, but I won't, it doesn't do any good. I have vague dreams of doing good some day, trying to help, I'd like to, but will I? I hope so.

The last two weeks

Now, pictures up on the computer, time for some random moments.
Oreo-eating at X-files marathon with Mango & Lol, time for it again on Thursday, yeaaah, I love our nerdiness ;)
Ryggympa, hahaha, oh my gosh, very hard to stay serious, especially after "Så det där med att höja pulsen, innebär det att höja pulsen eller ungefär väck Ingvar 90?"
Ryggympa is a joke anyhow, but Gerda is good though.

And now, some reason to love biology HL:

Tin foil hat!

Meng and Linus' birthday cake. Very funny evening...!
That was all for tonight folks, but I found some hilarious Christmas pictures on mom's computer tonight (mom and I were laughing so hard that we were crying) that I'm going to steal soon, yeees.

Tankar mitt i livet

A sentence of many commas

Structure, framework, frames, framed; structuring your life, putting the pieces together in a neat framework, framed memorable pieces by the bedside table, are we happier because we surround the memories of smiles with importance?

Regn

Himla regn.

Go Obama! Yeah!! The American elections, Koc' tin foil hat (once I figure out how to insert memory cards into the new computer I will put up a picture =P) and when Stina told me it's just biology SL next week, those things made my day today. Wednesday next week I'll only have one lesson, Tuesday is conveniently enough a theme day in school, I have a major sleep-in on Thursday and a d-day on Friday. The workload is pretty heavy next week, but apart from that, yeaaaaah =D Finally...!

Title... hah, I wish

Now it works. I made it. I made it work. A small battle won against school books, the big pile. A lot of things have been piling up lately. Books and emotions. There are a lot of emotions in books too. Reading is good. Keeps the mind off of other emotions. The mind tends to wander otherwise, go to dangerous places. The dark parts of the mind, where it gets lost in itself. No mind map is adequate, no biological markers have been identified for the inner feelings, for the thoughts.
But I think we’re glad to have that mystique added to our lives, the potential in the unknown, the whatever-is-in-the-dark. The unknown doesn’t have to frighten us, it won’t go away just because we want it to, it’s not a bad dream; it’s most of reality. We really don’t know that much after all, I think we like it because that means there’s more to explore.

Going unknown places, figuratively as well as literally, is educational, shows us other parts of reality so they can cease being unknown. I get this image in my head, a circle with knowledge in the middle and unknown outside; the more we learn, the more we see that we don’t know. A greater perimeter of unknown. Expanding the fields of ignorance, was that what that quote said? Cultivating ignorance at the borders of knowledge, the antonym of education really, two sides of the same coin, walking hand in hand.

It can be hard to walk hand in hand, reaching out your hand, whether it’s to grasp the formerly mentioned school books at a fruitful yet feeble attempt at learning (or was it only to keep them from falling?), or to reach out and help someone else. But that’s a whole other matter, for another time of meandering thoughts on a winding, unknown road. Who knows where they’ll end up next time they start escaping away like this, down the road of escapism. Though, why do I post it? It lacks a framework, among other things.

Edit: this is what too much reading of Atwood's "The Handmaid's Tale" will do to your head. I promise, I'll write coherently again some time soon.

Beware of largely incomprehensible musings

Seeing is believing. I see a lot, therefore I believe a lot. Idiom deduction.

Do I believe because I see, do I see because I believe, or are the two things unrelated? It depends on what I see to believe, or what beliefs make me see. I guess. If it's true for me, is it true for other people as well? Or too subjective, a non-universal truth. Not truth then. Reasoning with language is difficult. That's probably why people don't, haha. But it's no wonder there are problems explaining reasoning through language as well.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Personnumret ogiltigt. Personnumret finns inte i registret.
Minnesrunor. De är personliga i alla fall.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Words that don't make sense. Release. Room where there wasn't any before. Not fitting into the symbolicism. Water where it shouldn't be. Traces of man. Empty room made by man. It doesn't make sense. A sense of freedom in being there. Freedom isn't only finding joy where you normally wouldn't expect to find it, freedom is finding other things as well. Places you've never been. Things that you wouldn't expect to find. Even if it doesn't make sense. Freedom to not make sense. Let go.

Darkness. Don't go too far into the darker darkness. Dangerous. Does it make sense? I don't know. I can understand some things that happen, but they don't need to make sense for that.
Reason and emotion are different. I understand with reason and I make sense of things with emotion (not making sense, not seeing why = perception?). That's not a valid distinction, but there isn't a good one. Not one that makes sense. Or is understandable. I'm pretending like those expressions don't mean the same thing. I guess they do mean the same. Normally. I just mean different things by them.

Still, understandable things aren't necessarily sensible, are they? That's what I meant. So maybe I'm right after all. Right against myself. Reflecting on reflections. It's all just words anyway. Language. But it's a release, letting words out into nothing.

Reflections. I was walking at a place that isn't special at all. That makes it special to me. No one would be able to tell that that's my place. A small patch where nothing is built. Surrounded by so many boring things. I like that. Calm in the middle of everything. That part makes sense. It has made sense many times.

If you're not me, I doubt this will have made any sense. Sorry about that, I'll return to my senses soon.
