Temporarily, mayhaps.Positive emotions go with positive and often idealized memories? Lulling yourself to sleep by reminiscing is one of the more pleasant ways to combat insomnia. Especially as you grow more weary and the memories become more colourful and fuzzy--
yeah, I agree with that, the feelings we associate the memories with is what we really want to remember, so surrounding ourselves with happy memories can maybe trigger a change in thought, for the better.
(Almost) all things looks better when filtered through our sense of nostalgia and longing for the good ol' times.
